About Me

My name is Damian and I live in the beautiful town of Bad Wiessee, right next to Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria, Germany. Every day I enjoy the breathtaking mountain views and the fresh alpine air — an environment that inspires clarity and focus.

My background is in mechanical engineering, with many years of experience developing hydraulic components for mobile machinery. Over time, my passion for technology and open systems led me to specialize in Linux-based environments and automation.

Here is how I can support your private or professional projects:

  • Advanced Linux experience (Fedora, Ubuntu, SUSE, CentOS, AlmaLinux/RHEL)
  • Automation scripting using Bash – including scheduled tasks via crontab and backup strategies
  • Solid understanding of client/server architecture and SSH-based workflows
  • Working with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL and MariaDB
  • Python programming using miniconda, PyCharm, or Spyder – with code versioning on GitLab and GitHub
  • Building websites and web applications using Django, Astro, and WordPress
  • Developing own CRM-solution based on a MariaDB data-base and Django
  • Creating lightweight agentic AI pipelines, e.g., for sales automation such as RFQ handling, experimenting with Mistral AI
  • Developing automation tools in mechanical engineering (e.g., 3D CAD, PLM, CAE)
  • Experienced with Autodesk Inventor and PTC Creo — and passionate about building cloud automation with Open Source FreeCAD.
  • Advanced user in ERP: SAP, Oracle E1, Business Central - Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PLM: WindChill, PDM-Master, Vault, SAP-ECTR
  • Building pipelines and running CFD simulations with OpenFoam, performing automated post-processing with ParaView

Data, code, mechanics — if your project lives in that space, I’m all in. Always learning, always building. Drop me a message! You're welcome to follow along in my weekly dev log .

Apart from German, English, and Polish, I’m also conversational in Spanish and French.
